Job Description

Transport AdministratorLocation: AvonmouthMenzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Transport Administrator to join our team, providing a first-class service in Avonmouth. Youll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution and its customers.What You Really Want To Know

  • This position is based on working 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday
  • The hours of work are 10:30 to 20:00
  • The salary for this role is £27k to £30k per annum (Experience Dependant)
  • The holiday allowance is 28 days inclusive of bank holidays
  • Statutory Sick Pay
  • Onsite Parking is available
DEBRIEF OPERATIVE DUTIES
  • Answering inbound telephone calls, assisting customers with enquiries, and adhering to depot KPIs
  • Assisting drivers with locating addresses and providing delivery instructions
  • Assisting customers and providing excellent customer service
  • De- brief drivers on performance ( deliverys and collections ) and challenge any poor performance and apply time scales for improvement
  • Ensuring contractor paperwork is completed
  • Basic administrative duties
  • To implement the Health and Safety Policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment at all times
  • To implement the Security Policy ensuring and maintaining a secure passage of goods for the customer
  • Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management or the Shift Manager
  • Be Computer literate
  • Report daily into managers at the start of the shift and again at the end regarding driver performance issues and action taken
  • Manage drivers compliance Vs Daily targets
  • KPI reporting
  • Agency time sheets
REQUIREMENTS
  1. An understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations
  2. Experience of working in a transport/logistics environment
  3. Able to react quickly to information, helping solve any challenges to routes
  4. Experience using in-house transport management systems is an advantage
