Job Description

Summary As Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the product sign off approach aligns with our contractual obligations and our obligations as a co-packer to ensure an appropriate level of due diligence is carried out for supply of legally compliantproduct.You will be responsible for the review and sign off a variety of packaging materials and beverages. The approvals should protect The Park to ensure that operational efficiencies and reputation are maintained.You will have key responsibility in maintaining key technical data for internal and external customer review for compliance and technical specifications.You will be part of a continuous improvement culture looking at all areas of product performance providing a source of innovation and competitive advantage for The Park and its customers. Work Pattern: 36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure regulatory requirements and business frameworks are adhered to across the product portfolio sold within the UK & EU.
  • Review and dissemination of new regulations in order to convey change requirements necessary in the business.
  • Act as one of the primary contacts with the Wine Standards Board (WSB, Food Standards Agency),
  • Ownership of a robust process for the compliance sign off of packaging materials and new customer opportunities. These processes must meet the needs of the business and be updated to reflect changing requirements.
  • Lead daily review of business priorities, agreeing focus for the day and escalating any challenges due to achieving these requirements.
  • Monitor RFT on final co-park artwork and feedback on this reporting
  • Providing technical expertise covering issues of issues of legislation and compliance for multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Early engagement with customers to highlight compliance considerations at the concept stages of projects.
  • Respond to routine queries on matters with a compliance view or approval is needed. You will need to align and collaborate cross functionally to ensure a consistent business approach.
  • Operate internally and externally as the acknowledged expert in the field of packaging and beverage compliance.

  • Previous experience in a food or beverage legislative role.
  • Appreciation of Supply Chain processes within FMCG environment

About The ParkThe Park is a multi-award winning bottling facility, employing over 400 people and producing 25 million 9L case equivalents of wine each year. Our state of the art and highly mechanised manufacturing and blending plant has six packaging lines and the capacityto produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute. The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m) with the largest fleet of reach truck Automated Guided Vehicles in the World!Encirc has entered into a deal with Accolade Wines, one of the worlds leading premium wine producers, and has purchased the assets of "The Park" bottling and warehousing facility in Bristol.
