Field Maintenance Engineer (Fire Suppression) – £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum DOE - Based in Attleborough – Monday to Friday – Permanent Hales Group are working with their new client on a field base role. Do you have experience in Fire Suppression or the Fire Prevention Sector Do you hold your 17th Edition or Level 3 Then you will want to keep reading!HoursMonday to Friday, on call every other monthRole PurposeTo attend assigned visits to customer premises and perform all necessary system installation & maintenance or fault diagnostics and repair off fire suppression electrical detection systems & Mechanical systems. Ensuring system serviceability testing and paperworkis completed after assigned job is finished.Role Responsibilities

• Maintenance Visit Planning. On receipt of assigned work schedule ensuring that all necessary equipment and service kits to conduct the assigned work is on works van and for liaising with the office for additional supplies where necessary.
• Customer Service. Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and their staff and for being accountable for own conduct as a representative of Fireworks
• Maintenance Work. Performing all maintenance and repair work thoroughly, in a safe
• manner, and in accordance with all laid down service instructions. Ensuring system items removed from customer premises are labelled as necessary to identify the part and issue, and returned to Fireworks office.
• Uniform. As a Fireworks representative, maintaining a professional standard of dress, ensuring Fireworks branded clothing is worn at all times together with other appropriate PPE as necessary.
• Paperwork. Ensuring all paperwork, whether in hard copy or required to be completed via an issued tablet/iPad, in respect of each job is completed properly and is received by the Fireworks office in a timely manner and in good condition.
• Call Out Duties. Report all call-outs to the Office as soon as possible. During nominated call out periods ensure phone is kept on and is responded to in a timely fashion. On receipt of call out schedule keep nominated call out dates free of holiday andother commitments and notify the office immediately of any perceived conflicts.
• Service Vehicle. Maintaining allocated service vehicle in a good condition and for performing all daily and weekly checks, and for ensuring completed check sheets are received by the Fireworks office in a timely manner and in good condition. To drive responsiblyat all times and in compliance with all legal road requirements. Notify the office immediately if for any reason you are unfit to drive.
• Equipment. Ensuring that all work equipment is maintained, including: Ladder checks and tags, PAT testing, Calibrations, and associated pre-use checks.
• Purchasing. Ensuring that all purchases made in respect of the assigned company credit card is wholly necessary and for the sole use of work related purchasing. Maintaining credit card sheets and receipts and any other paperwork which may be required bythe finance dept.
• Training and Development. Complete all assigned training courses within timeframe
• allocated. You are responsible for ensuring that all CSCS cards, similar scheme or competency cards that you are required to hold are maintained.
• Communication. Maintain good communications with colleagues, responding in a timely manner to emails, text messages or phone calls and ensuring relevant information is passed on quickly.
• Workshop / Stores / Yard. Only using workshop equipment that individual is trained and
• authorised to use and ensuring that all correct PPE is worn when operating equipment. Ensuring that other staff are informed of any hazards while equipment is being operated and for performing pre-use equipment checks. Ensuring that work areas are leftclean and tidy. Notifying stores person of all stock items that have been taken and for what purpose.
• Quality, Health, Safety, Welfare and the Environment (QHSE). Observe all company QHSE policies, procedures and other instructions and ensure all concerns observed or reported are submitted to the QHSE Compliance department. Notify the office without delayof any incidents, near misses or H&S concerns.
• Other duties as necessary and directed to meet the needs of the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Good knowledge of water mist fire suppression systems, and detection systems and the wider fire prevention sector.
• Experience in similar field engineer roles. Demonstrates the technical competence and awareness required to pass manufacturer courses on the equipment to be maintained and repaired, or has relevant technical qualifications for work being performed. Electricalengineers should be qualified to at least Level 3 and ideally hold 17th Edition.
• Ability to communicate directly with customers and maintain good relationships.
• Proficient in the use of mobile technologies. E.g. Smart phones, Tablets.
• Have passed, or able to pass the CSCS Health & Safety Test.
• Holds a relevant CSCS or related scheme competency card.
