Job Description

  • Assisting in the management and development of a dynamic team, including trainees
  • Collaborating on the planning and execution of client compliance work
  • Preparing meticulous accounts, VAT, and other financial documents
  • Upholding strict deadlines and managing workflow efficiently
  • Reporting to Senior Managers and actively participating in meetings
  • Liaising with external organisations, such as HMRC, with professionalism and expertise
  • Providing exceptional client service by managing queries effectively
  • Handling various ad hoc duties as they arise
Qualifications/Competencies:To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • AAT qualification (essential)
  • ACCA part qualification (preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting practice
Experience in the Following Areas:
  • Managing multiple VAT preparations and submissions
  • Proficient bookkeeping skills
  • Understanding of payroll processes
  • Accounts preparation to the highest standards
  • Client query management and note preparation
  • Dealing with HMRC and third-party entities
  • Supervising and mentoring team members to foster growth and development
Skills:Were looking for individuals with expertise in:
  • Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and Sage Cloud Accounting
  • Proficient computer literacy (Excel, Email, Word, PowerPoint, internet)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence in client interactions and query resolution
