Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and committed Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance team within the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will ensure efficient processing of payroll operations and compliance with regulatory standards.Client DetailsOur client is a reputable entity in the healthcare sector, boasting a sizeable and dedicated workforce that continually contributes to the wellbeing of the community in Manchester.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of an Payroll Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;

  • Accurate processing of company payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries regarding payroll issues.
  • Generating and submitting payroll reports for review to the Finance department.
  • Coordinating with HR for any changes affecting payroll.
  • Maintaining accurate records for auditing purposes.
  • Continuously updating knowledge on payroll software systems.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
ProfileA successful Payroll Officer should have:
  • Public Sector and Government background - NHS Desirable.
  • Relevant educational qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to commute to Ashton-Under-Lyne .
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member within the Accounting & Finance department.
