Job Description

VAC: 423Mobile Plant Fitter - Immediate start available Based: Oldham Lancashire covering UK (Including Ireland) Company van, fuel card and company credit card. Basic Salary: £35,000 basic (£16ph dependant on experience) Core contract hours 40.5 per week 8-5 Mon-Thurs and 8-3 Friday any hours worked over will be paid at time and half, Sundays double time, bank holidays treble time. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Fitter to jointheir team based in Oldham Lancashire.Role & Responsibilities will include:

  • This position is predominantly mobile however you will also be required to work in the workshop in Oldham assisting with refurbs as and when required.
  • Attending customer sites repairing, maintaining, servicing, and fault- finding on mobile and static industrial shredders.
  • Building strong working relationships with customers.
  • Training customers how to operate the machines
  • As this role is National covering all the UK flexibility is essential as overnight stays will be required.
Essential Experience / Skills:
  • An experienced Plant Fitter ideally from one of the following industries: Recycling, Construction or Agricultural
  • Direct experience on machines such as shredders, crushers or screeners is a distinct advantage.
  • Well-presented and enjoys working in a client facing role as excellent customer service is an essential part of this role.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility is required in relation to working hours to ensure that jobs are finished.
  • Must live within a 40-minute commute of the workshop in Oldham.

  • Holidays: 28 including bank holidays
  • Full training on niche market machinery
  • Core contract hours 40.5 per week 8-5 Mon-Thurs and 8-3 Friday any hours worked over will be paid at time and half, Sundays double time, bank holidays treble time. (Plenty of overtime available)
