Job Description

My client in Ashton-Under-Lyne is currently looking for the following staff members:

  • 1 x night shift manual Planer/Miller setter/operator
  • 1 x day shift manual Vertical borer setter/operator
  • 2 x night shift manual horizontal borer setter/operator
  • 2 x day shift manual horizontal borer setter/operator
    • Job descriptions:
  • Previous experience in medium to heavy engineering
  • Have experience in self inspection
  • Flexibility for overtime
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (Micrometre, Vernier callipers etc…)
    • All positions would benefit from overhead crane knowledge, but this is not a necessity.Our shift and hourly rates of pay are listed below:Day shift hours:
  • 00 – 16.30hrs Monday - Thursday
  • 00 – 13.00hrs Friday
  • Overtime available, including weekends
    • Day Rate:
  • £11.50 per hr for 37 hrs
  • £17.25 per hr standard overtime after that (1.5 x T)
  • £23.00 per hr Sunday (2 x T)
    • Night shift hours:
  • 00 – 06.00 Monday – Thursday (Finishing 06.00 Friday)
  • Overtime available, including Friday afternoon and weekends
    • Night Rate:
  • £15.33 for 37 hrs (1.33 x T)
  • £17.25 for 10 hrs (1.5 x T)
  • £23.00 for 1 hour (2 x T)
  • (This works out at a 48-hour working week (4 x 12hr shifts))
  • All overtime paid at £23.00 per hr (2 x T)
