I am currently working with a key client of mine who are keen to take on an accounts assistant for their accountancy practice on the outskirts of Epsom. The role can be either full or part time but would need to be a minimum of 24 hours per week. You will need to have a good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, great interpersonal skills, good IT skills (ideally Cloud/outlook/Excel/word) and a good understanding of accounting standards/FRSs for accounts. You will ideally have worked in an accountancy practice and have used IRIS and/or Xero. This would suit someone who is part or fully AAT (level 2 minimum), ACCA or ACA qualified.Duties will include:Preparing accounts from clients records for companies, partnership and sole traders.Prepare quarterly VAT returns, mainly for limited companies.Prepare business tax computations and correctly claim tax relief onfixed assets.Speak with clients to resolve and deal with any queries.The role will pay £10.00-£14.50 per hour and my client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible with remote working and social distancing within the office environment.
