A prestigious and diverse events and property business based in stunning Cheshire surroundings just a short distance from Knutsford and Altrincham are looking to add a Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator to their fast growing team. The business and property being a wholly owned private estate, is able to look forward to 2021 and beyond with great positivity despite the pandemic in 2020.Initially a 20 hour per week contract, growing to 40 hours per week towards the spring and summer, the role will initially report to the owners> The successful Wedding and Event Coordinator will be agile and flexible to meet the changing needs of the business, able to multi-task, work on initiative and follow directions is key for this busy role. If you are innately trustworthy, accountable and passionate about delivering exceptional service on one of the most important days of your customers’ lives then we would love to find out more about you.As a successful Wedding Coordinator your key duties will include:• Assist with direct sales and marketing activities.• Maintain a customer and prospect database using the CRM system and help to suggest improvements and implement best practice whenever relevant.• Handle enquiries including rescheduling Covid-19 impacted weddings, checking availability and booking viewings.• Respond to and follow up wedding sales enquiries by email, telephone, and personal visits within a set time frame.• Produce and send out contracts.• Adding prospective clients into data base and follow up.• Set up venues for viewings and events personally as well as with Operations team.• Help to keep the venue and surrounding area in a clean and tidy state, flagging concerns to the relevant department.• Attend live events to assist with co-ordination.• Close sales for weddings and events.• Helping to prepare sales reports.• Working with the team to achieve financial targets. Have a good awareness of figures, being mindful of budgets on an event by event and annual basis. Strong commercial bent for upselling and understanding legal rights for cancellations etc needed.• Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills as and when required.• Weekend and evening work as scheduled.To be successful within this role you will have the following skills and attributes;• Positivity, you will be a self-driven and positive person who can see solutions not problems• Proactivity, you will be the type of person who can see an opportunity, task that needs completing or pre-empt a query or enquiry from a customer• Excellent communication skills you will be able to adapt your communication approach with people in all situations and life and integrate fully into the various teams epically operations, finance and management• Organisation and IT skills, you will have proven experience in managing busy workloads with supplier and customer engagement using CRM software a priority• Resilience and passion for the business and offer and the ability to profitably meet any customer requirements.• You will be an energetic and tenacious people person who can maintain a calm demeanour in busy and high-pressured times and have a “roll your sleeves up” type attitude to working with your colleagues.• Ability to multi task and prioritise daily workload• Discretion and confidentiality• Most important, you must enjoy what you do and make your clients and colleagues lives more fun!Due to the nature of the role you will require a full driving license and your own transport and will be willing to regularly work weekendsIn return for your hard work you will not only be rewarded with a basic salary of £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, free parking, weekly office lunches, and attractive commission/bonus.
