Job Description

Compassionate Care are currently looking for a part time In House Trainer who can add value to our already fantastic team based at our head office in Ashley, near Altrincham!We are a family run, award winning company with a core passion to put our clients first. We are looking for a passionate trainer who will induct new staff starting with both our Community Care and Supported Living teams. You will need to have extensive knowledge on both mental health and community care, ideally working in these settings previously. You will need to have relevant training certificates and experience working within a fast paced environment. You will need to have the ability, passion and focus to help upskill existing staff, enabling them to become the best they can be!What does the job look like

  • Providing all training to staff which cover Compassionate Care Policies and Procedures as well as other relevant legislation
  • Offering guidance, support and understanding to new and existing staff
  • Competency driven spot checking of new and existing staff at all levels
  • Planning, producing and executing excellent training from inductions through to Care Certificates and Level 2 courses
  • Requirement to develop bespoke courses around individual clients needs where necessary
  • Prioritising and reporting issues, risks, concerns and potential actions for resolution in relation to learning material development
  • Working with the Care Managers, Team Leaders and Registered Managers to identify learning and development needs throughout the business.
  • The essentials for our In House Trainer are:
  • Experience of Training in Health and Social Care
  • Qualification within training is essential (PTLLS, Assessors Award, Cert Ed etc)
  • Knowledge of Health and/or social care roles
  • Care Certificate Training
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have a wide understanding of mental health
  • Car driver with own car
  • Ability to support others in a stressful and demanding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • You will have a natural sense of empathy with others who need support along with bucket loads of common sense
  • You will have an easy-going personality
  • You are able to thrive under pressure
  • You are a committed self-starter and have great organisational skills and ability to think outside the box
  • Be punctual, reliable and have the ability to think quickly and effectively
  • As the training requirement is 7 days a week you will need to be flexible to work days and hours to suit the business needs.The rewards:
