Tool Setter (Plastics)AshbourneGood hourly rate based on experience + good benefitsThe CompanyWith a history in excess of 4 decades, my client has been providing engineering solutions to a range of customers; offering bespoke vacuum and pressure formed plastic packaging to the food industry.From design to manufacture, the company are involved in providing tailored options across a number of specialist food packaging sectors that includes many household names.Due to an upturn in work and an enviable order book, they are now looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Tool Setter for their Ashbourne facility.The RoleAs a Tool Setter you’ll be responsible for:• Ensuring that all machine sets are completed within agreed timescales and to the correct tolerances• Recording any incidents involving non-conformances and working with the Shift Supervisor to ensure the correct procedures are followed• Ensuring that all products are manufactured in accordance with industry and company standards (BRC/IoP) relating to Packaging & Packaging Materials Quality Systems• Be proactive and offer suggestions to improve production• Monitoring Tooling storage• Assist with machine breakdowns and preventative maintenance activities, including keeping records of issues and cascading this information to the maintenance teamsThe PersonOK, we know you wont know everything and theres always an element of training needed to get anyone up to speed in a new job, but...and its a big BUT: there are a few key things youre going to need in order to be considered for this Tool Setter role:• Experience as a Tool Setter – preferably within thermoforming but those from a plastics background (injection moulding / blow moulding etc.) may also be considered• Great organisational skills and the ability to plan your workload• An ability to record and report information relating to work-flow, machine issues and materials• Proven experience of dealing with all the levels of people – and their personalities – including, supervisors, maintenance teams and, on occasion, customers• Good housekeeping and hygiene experienceThe RewardsThis is a great opportunity to work for an established and well-respected company that has a solid order book and a good future.• A good hourly rate, based on your experience• Paid overtime• Good paid leave each year• Targeted training and development• A real opportunity to grow with the business
