SHE OfficerPermanent AshbourneUp to £38,000Macildowie are currently recruiting for a SHE Officer to join a manufacturing business based in Ashbourne, Derby. This role is to effectively manage the Safety, Health and Environmental issues across the UK operations. Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience in the heavy manufacturing or construction industries but this is not essential.This is a full time position based on site with no option to work from home. You will also be required to travel to other sites.Role & Responsibilities:Assist with the compilation and implementation of SHEQ procedures, policies and other documentation.To ensure the effective maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management system in relation to the BS EN ISO 45001 & 14001 (2015) & 9001 standards.Conduct general risk assessments throughout production site/s.Ability to negotiate with statutory authorities.Conduct workplace audits and report findings of non-compliance.Coordinate and accompany contractor/end user/client auditors on operational visits.Visit sites when necessary to advise on safe off loading/handling of products and ensure that subcontractors are adhering to all SHEQ requirements.Promote a positive SHEQ culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement.Candidate:Hold a NEBOSH general certificate (as a minimum) Have several years relevant experience. Effective management skills, good communication skills and attention to detail.
