Job Description

There is a new payroll job vacancy with a professional services firm, based in Ashbourne. The firm are seeking a Payroll Professional to be the main payroll specialist, with support from various other members of staff. They are open to hiring at any level,so will consider anybody that has strong payroll experience, whilst any experience working in a payroll bureau setting could be advantageous.The firm may consider full time or part time applications and salary wise, they would make their decision on what to offer, after assessing your skills and experience at interview.The firm are open on level too and will look at people between administrator to supervisor level.They are planning to allocate some of the more straight forward payrolls to other members of staff to ensure others have experience of payroll and there is cover in the department for holidays etc.Any experience of sage or brightpay would be beneficial.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Professional to join the team working at their Ashbourne office. As a Payroll Professional you will be responsible for organising and coordinating the operations and activities of the overall payroll process.A knowledge of pension auto enrolment is desirable but not a necessity for the correct candidate willing to learn. The firm are keen to employ somebody on a full-time basis, but will also consider part-time candidates.Key responsibilities:

  • Payment of wages/salaries (including bonuses) to employees
  • Processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with agreed procedure
  • Organise and coordinate fiscal and calendar year end processing of payroll
  • Enforcement of established payroll related policies, procedures and regulations
  • Internal and external reporting of payroll and deduction particulars
  • Pensions Administration - all associated tasks with administering Company and government pensions
  • Assist with relevant upgrade and maintenance works to the HR system
  • Preparation and submission of P11ds
  • Construction Industry Scheme submissions
  • Pension Auto Enrolment
  • SMP/SSP
