Chef de Partie | Thorpe, Ashbourne | Full Time | up to £28,000 plus an excellent share of the tipsOur client serves classic and modern British food of fine-dining quality in the warm, relaxed surroundings of a local country pub.As a Chef de Partie, you will join the brigade at this award-winning take on a traditional British pub in the Peak District. The kitchen team constantly strives to develop their ideas, taking inspiration from the best seasonal ingredients on offer from anetwork of carefully selected local suppliers.The pub holds 2 AA Rosettes, and a Michelin Bib Gourmand and is number 28 on The Estrella Top 50 Gastro Pub list.What can you expect in return

Are you the right person for the jobIf you have the following, then the answer is yes!
  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a similar style of gastro pub is preferred, ideally with rosette experience
  • Confidence to run a section and help with other duties, mentoring junior chefs in their tasks.
  • Be a great communicator with a dynamic approach
  • Impeccable standards with a passion for creating dishes with the best fresh, seasonal produce
  • A warm and friendly personality, with a flair for recognising and exceeding guest expectations
What will my role as a Chef de Partie look like
  • Maintain an effective working relationship within the team
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with other departments
  • Work in all departments with respective Chef de Parties preparing and serving food items as required
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas of the department
  • Deal with deliveries and stock rotation, minimizing spoilage and waste
  • Maintain that cost control policies and reporting procedures are followed
  • Deputise and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen during the Sous Chefs absence
  • Attend all training sessions when requested to do so
  • Perform other related tasks when required to do so
