Quantity SurveyorMidlands and based across the UK£45,000 to £68,000 + Car or Allowance + BenefitsJob Ref: J110518As Quantity Surveyor you will be part of our Commercial Team who are responsible for all commercial and financial matters. We work with national and international blue chip companies to deliver large scale renewable energy connection projects or traditionaltransmission and distribution projects.Your responsibilities will include:- Compile relevant information for preparation of reports and claims.- Constantly refer to the project risk management plan- Ultimate responsibility for all sub-contractor management. - Ensure all sub-contractors and suppliers have submitted compliant quotations/enquiries/applications- Assist the team and Project Manager with regard to recovery of contract costs- Enance project profit by identifying variations, delays and claims.- Assist with production of monthly project financials.- Develop sound and balanced negotiating skills.You will have:- BSc or equivalent in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction related subject or equivalent experience- Significant experience post graduation experience in a similar position- Commercially and contractually astute, able to take ownership of performance- A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively in order to manage risk and opportunity- A strong working knowledge and understanding of JCT or NEC forms of contract- Full driving licence- Projects will vary in geographical location and run for 6 - 24 monthsWhats in it for youCompany car / allowance and fuel card25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holidayAnnual bonusPension schemeLife AssurancePrivate health care
