Job Description

We have an existing opportunity due to rapid business growth of our Peterborough based client who is looking for a Sales Co-ordinator to join the sales team.Working within the Sales team and reporting directly to the Sales Executive, this position primarily focuses on initiative-taking sales activity for maximising event space for Conferences, Banqueting and all Meeting rooms.The Sales Co-ordinator will manage and convert all business, including contracting, prior to hand over to the Event Planning team, in addition to managing the function diary inventory.The Sales Co-ordinator must demonstrate high energy levels & provide consistently high levels of customer service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, external sales calls, site visits, client meetings etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of activities and information.
  • To organise and take responsibility for trade fairs, exhibitions, and sales trips
  • Maintain positive working relationships with local partners, associations, and the tourism board; arranging and managing joint familiarisation and sales trips when required.
  • Attend daily events briefing providing accurate updates on details of bookings and enquiries to wider team and attend weekly sales meeting.
  • Ability to write comprehensive licence agreements for contracted events.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate liaison with clients whilst on property for site inspections and events.
