Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Support analyst to join our busy and close-knit team based in our Peterborough site. The suitable candidate will be working within an IT support team with a track record of providing 2nd/3rd line support to our different departments on the busy service desk. We are looking for someone who has a firm background in Microsoft technologies, networking, and has experience of working in a similar environment. This role requires travelling to our different locations to provide IT support within the UK.Responsibilities:

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft servers and desktop machines.
  • Troubleshooting firewall and router issues.
  • VPN and Remote Support
  • Network support, printer support, and telephony/telecoms support (VOIP).
  • Telephone, email, and remote support.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and supporting Windows based Desktops and Laptops
  • Installing and configuring additional bespoke software and applications
  • Troubleshooting and investigating desktop network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, patching)
  • MS office configuration and support, including O365,
  • Desktop Support in a Corporate or Professional Services Environment
  • Desktop and Laptop Devices including build, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Active Directory - Account Management and configuration
  • Exchange / Email - troubleshooting, archive management, anti-virus support
  • Audio Visual / Video conferencing systems support
  • Printer management and support (server and devices)
  • Assisting technical Managers and The Service Desk Manager with sensitive and escalated tasks
  • IT Infrastructure Diagrams and documentation
  • Be able to successfully carry out in-depth investigations and reconfiguration of our clients systems and undertake new installations, it is essential that you have a good understanding and demonstrable skills in the following areas:
  • Service Desk Experience
  • DNS, DHCP, File Systems
  • Active Directory
  • Networking diagnostics, TCP/IP, packets, understanding of how a network works.
  • Router, Firewall and VPN Configurations
  • Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems, specifically:
  • Windows 10
  • Server 2008/2008R2/ 2012/2016/2019
  • Microsoft O365
  • Printer Services
  • VPN and Remote Support
  • Preferred SkillsAny ERP experience would be beneficial
  • Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
  • Google Workspace
  • API/EDI Basic integration knowledge
