Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join Aramark Northern Europe specifically aligned to our Sport and Entertainment arm. This key role will be responsible for our two of our five Merlin Entertainment sites; Alton Towers and WarwickCastle.This is an operational finance role which will work with the Finance Director to support the contract and site leadership and management teams to drive and improve holistic business performance in a growth oriented, service focused business environment.The Finance BP will work closely with the operational teams to ensure the financial close process and ultimately the management information created is both robust and ultimately used to support decision making to improve performance.The role will be hands on in a fast paced operationally lead environment and the post holder will need to balance the needs of supporting the operation and playing the lead finance role on site to ensure the core fiduciary processes are also completed toensure the smooth running of the wider finance function, this will include but not be limited to the Blackline balance sheet process, sales invoicing and billing change forms, cash collection escalations and the month end close.This is a permanent and full time position (40 hours- Monday to Friday) which should be based on site full time. The ideal candidate will be based in the Midlands.Our Sport and Entertainment arm to the business is an exciting, ever-changing and growing part of our business. We are eager to find someone who can fulfil the below duties;

  • Support the Finance Director with the financial agenda and the operational teams in producing and understanding quality financial information
  • Support as required with preparation of financial and commercial information and analysis to support business change and improvement
  • Maintain schedules for the location pertaining to per cap, commissions and other contractual obligations ensuring alignment
  • Lead site based periodic financial reviews feeding into Finance Director and overall Leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of the operational, financial, commercial & legal aspects of the formal contract within area of responsibility
  • Support business and client discussions through preparation of financial and commercial options as required to support potential contractual changes
  • Actively report, manage and advise on the commercial opportunities & risks
  • Track as appropriate the benefits of pricing changes through the P&L
  • Prepare key balance sheet reconciliations for the contract
  • Work with and on behalf of the Finance Director to understand and develop the forecast assumptions
  • Lead as required the invoicing process for the location to ensure accuracy
  • Administer capital expenditure is within contract as required ensuring appropriate approvals and testing both VFM and return on investment
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a talented individual with demonstrated experience as a Financial BP. You will be qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and have strong experience using a variety of financial systems & Microsoft Office packages, particularlyExcel. You will be an exceptional communicator and someone who is able to manage cross functional stakeholder relationships. You will have a good understanding of the operational, financial aspects of a contract and ideally have experience working in a contractbased environment.If you are looking to elevate your career, look no further.
