Job Description

This is an initial part time role with the possibility of progressing to full time. Working week up to 20 hours, holiday, pension £11.00 - £13.00 per hour dependant on experience. Payroll | Wages | CIPP | Payroll Processing | P11Ds | PAYE | Monthly Payroll | Pensions | HMRC | Payroll Supervisor | Payroll Management |Peridot Recruit Limited are working with well-known HR Consultancy located in the heart of Aberdeen. Payroll services are being included in their service offering. My client is looking for a driven Payroll professional to join their growingteam at an exciting time for the organisation.Role Overview:As a Payroll Associate, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and accurate processing of payroll. You will ensure all clients compensation is calculated and delivered correctly and on time. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analyticalskills, and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for clients, including but not limited to salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Verify and reconcile timekeeping records, ensuring accurate data for payroll processing.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to clients as required.
  • Assist in resolving any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies promptly.
  • Stay updated on relevant payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain confidential employee records related to payroll and compensation.
  • Ensuring that clients payroll earnings, statutory and other deductions are correctly calculated, authorised, and paid in a timely manner according to internal and external deadlines.
  • Ensuring the payroll is processed in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Hands on processing of computerised payroll for monthly paid staff
  • Payments to external companies/bodies for additional and voluntary deductions from payroll, including pension contributions
  • Preparation and submission of P11D forms
  • Preparation and submission of HMRC annual returns
  • Coordinate responses for HMRC PAYE and Benefits audits
  • Compliance with pensions auto enrolment requirements
  • Preparation of budget payroll files
  • Prepare monthly accounting journals and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Provide support for processing of employee expenses
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Associate or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, processes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • A relevant degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
