Job Description

Supply Chain Project Manager (Contract) – Alfreton – Up to £45,000Chase & Holland are excited to be working with an International Manufacturing business based in Alfreton who are currently recruiting a Supply Chain Project Manager to support their business on an initial 12-month contract with a view to extend further.The group has recently seen further growth through acquisition, and they are looking for a highly experienced Supply Chain professional who can focus on the entire process from customer order to delivery of product and drive efficiencies and cost savings.Supply Chain Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop Supply Chain improvement roadmap and objectives for the plant in line with the group supply chain strategy in order to improve the overall cost/service/cash balance
  • Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
  • Drive the implementation (roadmap, budget and priorities) to achieve these objectives
  • Ensure and supervise/support the deployment and execution of defined processes & policies
  • Define and Implement a lean, standard and efficient Order to Deliver process, automate where possible
  • Install the defined Supply Chain Metrics to identify the continuous improvement potential
  • Analyse and identify opportunities for improvement/defects/damages/bottlenecks in supply chain processes/procedures
  • Implement and control the defined actions in order to realise the cost savings, improved service, inventory reduction
  • Ensure processes and documents are completed in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Strict Project management reporting to follow up closely on the progress made
  • Install, track and report on supply chain KPIs (customer service level, inventory, lead times logistic costs)
  • Report analysis, insights & recommendations for managerial decision, as well as on corrective/improvement actions taken regarding supply chain operations
    • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm & 2:45pm finish on a Friday (Flex)Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of operational/tactical experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics or related work environment
  • Manufacturing background
  • Green belt or above (desirable)
  • SAP (Desirable)
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement
  • Confident communicator at all levels
