The Renal Dialysis Unit at The Vale of Leven Hospital is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to join its specialist team of haemodialysis nurses. The Unit provides a nephrology service for patients with chronic renal failure and also has a clinic facility servicing the local population. This post is open to Registered Nurses with an interest in caring for patients with renal failure. Haemodialysis experience and a broad knowledge of renal nursing is desirable but not essential: teaching and training will be provided. Individuals must be motivated and enthusiastic with a keen interest in nursing patients undergoing renal replacement therapy. This innovative Unit is ‘nurse led’ by a team of specialist nurses and offers exciting new opportunities for individuals to enhance and further develop specialist skills. The scope for professional development is endless in the field of renal medicine. Opportunities for developing research-based practice in the haemodialysis setting is actively encouraged and supported. If you are an individual with suitable experience and have a keen interest in nephrology nursing and are looking to develop and extend your professional knowledge and skills, this is the challenge you are looking for. This post is part time, at 15 hours per week.
