Theatre Staff Nurse/ODP Band 5 Full time permanent post. All Posts will be based within Vale of Leven Vale of Leven theatre unit containing 3 operating theatres, a minor operating room and a 8 bed recovery area and provide care for patients undergoing a range of surgical specialties currently including Orthopaedics,Gynaecology,Urology,Ophthalmology and General Surgery. In addition to having current NMC/HCPC registration applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn. You will be required to extend your knowledge and skills to enable them to work in 2 out of 3 areas (anaesthetics,recovery and scrub ) within the department. The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities. You are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs currently over a 5 day week. Furthermore, you will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC or an Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC. The shift pattern for this post is to be worked over 5 days.
