This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the primary care pharmacy team within West Dunbartonshire HSCP. You will join the NHSGGC Primary Care Pharmacy Team and assist the technicians and pharmacists take forward key prescribing initiatives and delivery of pharmacotherapy. As a member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in supporting cost effective and evidence based prescribing within specific GP practices and pharmacy hubs within the HSCP. This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care as described in the GMS contract. This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines You should have good communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills. This is an opportunity to begin a career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings. Experience of working in a healthcare environment or as part of a multi-disciplinary team is desirable.
