The successful applicant will join a friendly and enthusiastic community dietetic team in the West Quadrant of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC). Ideally, the dietitian should have significant post graduate clinical experience across a range of conditions. The dietitian will provide an evidence based dietetic service to patients, carers, medical, nursing, and AHP staff at the Vale of Leven Hospital and across the West Dunbartonshire Learning Disability Service. The successful candidate will deliver patient care to in-patients and to community patients in various settings, including clinics, care homes and patients own home. The post holder will also contribute to supervision, teaching, mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic support workers and clerical staff. The dietitian will plan, organise and deliver education and training for health care professionals. This training covers broad ranging, topical nutritional issues covering the entire life cycle.
