Superb Opportunity for a JUNIOR ANALYST Location:Currently working from home, thereafter a location within CambridgeshireSalary:c£25kHours:37 Hours per weekContract:PermanentClosing Date: 8 February COBAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the Delivery & Strategy Department of my Very Prestigious Cambridgeshire ClientJob SummaryThe Junior Analyst will support My Client with analysis and performance management and for the right candidate offers scope for career progression in that they could expand their duties into an Analyst role.The role will include contributing mapping and analysis for the early-stage development of business cases for e.g., new transport infrastructure, supporting strategic analysis to support the development of plans such as the Local Industrial Strategy. Theperformance management element of the role will include regularly updating performance metrics and dashboards for the Local Transport Plan and My Clients corporate performance indicators.Key Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team, provide analysis of datasets using excel and other packages to support the development of strategic plans.
• To support colleagues in downloading, analysing and understanding national, regional, and sub-regional data of relevance to transport, housing, planning or economic development policy.
• Support the monitoring and reporting of performance against goals and outcome measures within the existing policy framework by regularly updating performance dashboards.
• To support colleague with the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to produce maps and map- based analysis for reports.
• To support the Analysis and Evaluation Manager with a range of analytical and spreadsheet tasks. Compiling data and supporting the creation of reports and insights.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelors degree(BA / BSc) in a relevant subject such as Human Geography, Public Policy, Land and Movement Planning or related disciplines. Alternatively, a degree subject with significant analysis/statistical elements of study.

• At least a grade C in both English and Maths GCSE
• Proficient level of numeracy including knowledge of statistical analysis
• Previous experience of conducting analysis or performance management in a work setting or completion of a degree with a significant analytical element.
• Experience of preparing reports and presentations of analysis or research for a variety of audiences including peer group or more senior colleagues.
• A proficiency in the use of Information Technology for analysis and performance reporting for example using MS Excel (or similar) Power BI (or similar) and statistical packages such as SPSS (or similar).
• Proficiency in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) such as ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo (note that My Client currently uses ArcGIS on-line combined with QGIS Desktop, full or further training can be provided).
