Job Description

Our client is now looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their busy team in Alconbury!You will be part of a motivated and dedicated team, supporting the wider business and working closely with worldwide customers for them, a mixture of Supermarkets, growers and more! Our clients business is a third-generation owned family business, thatis drastically expanding, so this is truly an opportunity to be part of an ever growing, inclusive business!Accounts Payable Administrator Duties:

  • Process high volume purchase invoices
  • Process Weekly UK and International Payments
  • Reconcile Cash books
  • Run Month End reports
  • Processing high volume purchase invoices
  • Setting up new Supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts
  • Ensure bank details are checked and approved in accordance with company policy
  • Reconcile Supplier Statements and request copy invoices/credits if needed
  • Build strong relationship with Suppliers, Customers and colleagues
  • Handling, resolving and escalating queries
  • Chasing invoice approvals
  • Prepare weekly UK and International payment runs
  • Setting up BACS & International payments on the bank in multi-currency
  • Download bank statements daily
  • Posting payments to the ledger, direct debits, bank charges, Ad Hoc to nominal
  • Assist in running month end reports
  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Work closely with other administrators on your team and support each other
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable on contra transactions and recharges
  • Support the wider finance team with any ad hoc tasks when required
  • Ad hoc duties
Accounts Payable Administrator Requirements:
  • A high level of written and verbal English
  • Be Numerate
  • IT Literate
  • Proficient using MS Office software
  • Have a good knowledge of purchase ledger and understand how the teams within finance work together
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational/problem-solving skills
  • High retention of information
  • Working under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and speed
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Professional appearance, conduct, language and manner
