Job Description

Summary Working indoors and outdoors in the often bustling car park hut as part of a passionate team, this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. Hours:Flexible hours.Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but were looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. Wed give you as muchnotice of this as possible.Salary:£9.39 per hourDuration:Fixed-Term contract until 30-Oct-2022 What its like to work here Coughton Court is one of Englands finest Tudor houses and has been home to the Throckmorton family for 600 years. The National Trust currently opens it between March and October. Youll be joining a dedicated visitor facing teamof 7 based at the entrance of the property and car park, who also work collaboratively across the site and other departments to deliver great service for 120,000 visitors. What youll be doing As a Welcome & Service Assistant, its your role to ensure thatthe welcome our visitors receive in our car park is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day. Reporting directly to the Welcome Manager youll work closely alongside volunteers to meet the varied needs of our visitors. Asa busy visitor focussed operation you should expect to work regular weekends and Bank Holidays to a rota.Youll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit, sharing the range of activities available in a friendly and relaxed manner. The team in on each day will flex depending on the time of yearso its vital youre as comfortable working solo whilst staying motivated as well as with others. With our online learning and training and regular electronic updates there are plenty of ways to learn - from how to use our digital tills to Food Safety.Youll help us meet our membership targets by sharing our cause and campaigns and assist with event set up such as building gazebos and selling tickets for outdoor trails or help in the river with the Duck Races. All of this knowing youre achieving thelong term care for this special place through fundraising. Who were looking for

  • Can demonstrate an empathetic, understanding and adaptable approach to different peoples needs, with a passion to deliver the highest standards of customer care
  • Proven experience of working to measurable targets
  • Good team worker- flexible and adaptable and willing to grow experience and skillset across several different operation aspects of the property
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised and able to work with minimum supervision
