Job Description

Butler Rose, a specialised finance agency, is seeking a talented and seasoned Finance Manager to partner with the CFO in collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate strategic decision-making. This entails providing financial analysis, enhancingprocesses, and offering insights and guidance.The position arises from ongoing business expansion and multiple acquisitions within a private equity-backed enterprise. The chosen candidate will oversee the financial reporting function, drive system/process enhancements and elevate management information,forecasting, & reporting standards across a rapidly expanding national operation. Exceptional communication skills are essential for this role.**Hybrid work arrangement: This role allows fully remote working with the expectation that the chosen candidate can travel to the office (located near Alcester) at least twice a month**Responsibilities:* Take ownership of month-end account closing activities and prepare monthly management accounts and KPIs for senior management and key stakeholders. * Perform in-depth analysis of the companies underlying performance, including sales, KPIs, variances, and other key financial metrics. * Review and enhance finance team processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes. * Compile and provide necessary information to external accountants for the preparation of statutory accounts, completion of audits, and filing of tax returns. * Assist senior management in the preparation of the annual business plan and budget, leveraging financial expertise and insights. * Maintain financial models and forecasts, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring, to support decision-making and financial planning. * Support the CFO with various ad hoc tasks and projects as required.Skills and Experience:* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. * Extensive exposure to both operational finance (monthly accounting, statutory accounts) and commercial finance (financial modeling, KPI analysis). * Previous experience working with private equity-backed businesses is highly desirable. * Motivated, diligent, and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise work, set timelines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. * Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues from different departments. * Incredibly motivated, diligent and organised person.
