Procurement - Commercial Data Sourcing Manager

About This Job:As part of our new global Commercial Insights structure, this is a hybrid role working closely with our procurement function as well as having responsibility for further developing and maintaining a centralised commercial catalogue for data used globally,regionally, and locally. The role will work collaboratively across the Commercial organization to maintain a clear understanding of best-in -class data sources, usage by category and country, and maintain documentation using Data and KPI Catalogues.Key Activities are noted below:Identify data needs across the Commercial Insights functions (for pipeline and global brands) and work cross functionally and cross regionally to source the required data sets.Create transparency and expand access to existing data sources, introduce innovative data sources and add value to the Commercial Insights deliverables and service offeringSupport the Commercial Data Sourcing Programme (CDSP) to systematically evaluate, prioritize and validate data purchases across the commercial organizationCreate transparency and expand access to existing data sources, introduce innovative data sources and add value to the Commercial Insights deliverables and service offeringSupport the Commercial Data Sourcing Programme (CDSP) to systematically evaluate, prioritize and validate data purchases across the commercial organizationDeliver cost optimisation through the centralisation of data related purchases across the business, calibrating the preferred supplier portfolio to maximise integrity & value-add of external data sourcesEstablish a strong partnership with other global functions such as Global Procurement, Legal and Finance, Patient Centricity, Portfolio Strategy and Medical Affairs to share best practices, new uses of data and new sourcesSupport the development of internal data sourcing processes and standardsCollaborate across the Data Strategy pillars of Data Stewardship and Data Platforms Management to secure data and enable downstream warehouse, analytics and reporting processesLeverage extensive networks to identify partnership opportunities within and outside the sector to drive innovationManage the preferred supplier portfolio for related services and productsEssential Knowledge & Experience:Strong understanding of global and local pharma data sourcesGood understanding of procuring and use of data to support business decisions across the value chainSolid commercial acumen and process viewpoint, able to evaluate sources of dataAdept at working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a global settingImpactful and credible with senior stakeholders internally and externally, able to deliver results through influence and persuasionExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organise and prioritise workloadFluent in written and spoken business English, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholdersInternal customer and third-party vendor relationship managementAble to recommend and deploy techniques for continuous improvementEducation/Qualifications: Undergraduate or equivalent degree in Business, Science or EngineeringAdditional information: This is a full-time permanent position based in the UK.
