Job Description

Innovation Operations Project LeaderRIO / ISD Location: Cambridge/Middlesbrough/LahoreContract: PermanentHours: Full timeSalary: Competitive rateDescription of role:An exciting opportunity to join a world-leading research technology organisation, leading innovation across Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence, Construction and Energy for over 75 years.You will join the Innovation and Skills Directorate at TWI, which looks at building relationships with universities, public funding bodies, TWI technology groups and TWI Industrial Members to develop strategic partnerships to deliver new business opportunitiesfor the organisation.Part of the directorates responsibilities is managing a Core Research Programme (CRP), which delivers innovative research, informs the direction and nature of future TWI services, and represents value to TWI Industrial Members, providing them with an importantvehicle for engineering technology advancement.This role will involve managing the operations of the CRP, as well as conducting marketing activities and events within the directorate. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with strong organisational or project management skills.The role involves but is not limited to

  • Leadership of the Core Research Programme operations, including monitoring project performance and budgets
  • Organisation of workshops, meetings and events for Innovation and Skills Directorate.
  • Conducting marketing activities for Innovation and Skills Directorate.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a degree or equivalent experience
  • Have at least two years project management or operations experience
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English
