Job Description

Service Engineer (EV Charging) - Aberdeen/Dundee - £26,000Overview:Our client have a large number of Electric Vehicle charging units installed throughout the UK. Part of their responsibility is ongoing service support and planned preventative maintenance of these products.Key Tasks:Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Maintenance of the equipment - Visual inspection of equipment and installation, test of charging mode protocols, cleaning of product etc.
  • Achieving required response times
  • Report back on completion of jobs using defined procedures.
  • All documentation has to be accurate, clear and concise.
  • Control of spare parts.
  • Aid with development and testing of products.
  • Providing input and knowledge to help improve products, manuals and service.
  • Retain full, clean drivers licence.
Location:
  • Field based in/around Hemel Hempstead - travel and overnight stays will be required
  • Reporting start and end of shift via smart phone.
Hours of work:
  • 8 hour day.
  • Monday to Friday shift
  • Out of hours on call rota
  • The position calls for overtime to be worked as requested by the service desk.
Ideally the candidate will have a good mix of:
  • Electrical field service experience
  • Technical qualifications relevant to the role
  • Methodical fault finding skills
  • Experience of PCs and networking environments
  • Ability to work on own; but be a part of a team.
  • Be able to work in a pressured, client controlled environment.
  • Be prepared to spend a large amount of time driving from site to site.
  • Willingness to travel further afield including flights and nights away from home.
  • Have a courteous manner and ability to communicate clearly with all levels of client staff (managers to site attendants).
  • Hold a current CSCS construction skill card of a related discipline.
  • Full, clean UK drivers licence.
