Job Description

Health and Safety Co-Ordinator / Manager£35,000 - £40,000 + performance related bonus up to £5,000, complimentary canteen & 33 days holidayYstrad Mynach( part time hours for 3 days a week will be considered )Are you an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator / Manager with a background in manufacturing Are you looking for a role where you will have full control over shaping the Health & Safety processes and procedures of a leading manufacturer that is going through an exciting period of growth Can you drive and support a positive and proactive Health and Safety CultureIf so, please read on.We are looking for a skilled Health & Safety Coordinator/Manager to provide support to managers to implement and deliver H&S best practice across the site for one of our flagship clients in Ystrad Mynach. This role comes with great flexibility and is a fantastic opportunity to work towards achieving ISO 45001 accreditationAs Health and Safety Co-Ordinator / Manager you will:

  • Provide H&S assistance and guidance as required
  • Assist with Health and Safety administration activities.
  • Complete risk assessments and Standard Operating procedures
  • Assist with the completion of key projects within the Business, (PUWER, LOLER, Fire Safety, CDM)
  • Assist with the creation of training documentation and presentations to support the implementation of new health and safety related processes.
  • Use your strong communication skills in training sessions with employees within the company
  • Assist with reviewing and investigating accidents, good catches, significant near misses that are reported and establish root cause and develop action plans to follow it up.
  • Chair H & S meetings and arrange regular audits and site inspections with H&S Champions
  • Use your knowledge of IOS 18001 as well as the updated ISO 45001 ( which would be advantageous to have )
  • Experience/Qualifications required:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or Diploma)
  • A background in fast paced manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of ISO 18001 and preferably ISO 45001
