Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (UK based) to join a leading medical/Pharmaceutical manufacturing company, ideally seeking candidates from a packaging/medical background.This role is UK based with Head Office based in South Wales.Our client is seeking a self starter someone who is passionate in regards to Business Development & Sales.Job SummaryThis role is responsible for achieving sales, sales growth and profitability targets in the territory. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing the territory, identifying new business opportunities, building a solid sales pipeline and reaching sales targets in the area of commercial packaging service. You will identify and acquire new accounts with significant growth and profit potential. The role maintains frequent face-to-face communication and establishes win-win relationships with new and existing accounts. Your customers will be based primarily in the UK and Ireland. This role requires up to 50-70 % of travelling.Role- Identify accounts & leads key buying factors beyond price.- Assess account and leads opportunities, trends and define aspirations.- Develop close relationships with decision makers at relevant organisations.- Be the conduit to develop multi-functional relationships.- Maximise sales, sales growth and profitability of accounts and leads in the territory.- Focus on establishing or re-establishing & maintaining strong relationships and face-to-face communication with accounts.- Act as the direct, primary face-to-face contact with existing accounts and leads.- Establish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with existing accounts and leads.- Proactively identify new business opportunities and use modern technologies to approach them ( such as social media platforms )- Maintain strong win/win relationships- Understand existing and future account requirements- Arbitrate between plants and customers and leads when there are disagreements and/or issues with regard to issues such as qualityFormal Qualifications and Experience- Working sales experience in business development preferably in packaging, food or Pharma/Healthcare/Lifescience industry- Graduate in Business Administration, sales, engineering or similar- Experience of working in fast-paced, international environment- Knowledge and Experience- Excellent/Fluent English verbal and written- Business knowledge and established network in the targeted industry- Excellent MS Office skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Strong analytical skills and background- Sales/customer knowledge & relationship building skills- Self-starter- Good negotiation skills- Results oriented and hunterPreferred Skills/Experience:- Knowledge of the packaging/medical business is a plus- CRM Systems, is a plusBy applying for this position you are giving authorisation for Focused Recruitment Ltd to contact you regarding this vacancy and other vacancies we feel may be suitable for you.We will not present your CV to any clients without your explicit consent.
