Job Description

Job Title: Librarian and Learning Resources Team Lead Position: Full time, permanentLocation: North YorkshireSalary: £27,286 - £29,819REED Further Education on behalf of a leading group of Further Education Colleges based in North Yorkshire who are looking to recruit an experience librarian.The successful Librarian will;

  • Co-ordinate learning resources and library services across multiple sites.
  • Co-ordinate the learning resource assistants duties across two sites to ensure they have adequate support to carry out their duties.
  • Induct students and colleagues into the library and learning resources services in conjunction with the Digital Skills Induction.
  • Co-ordinate and advance the use of the new library management system (Heritage), working with IT and MIS to continually advance its function.
  • Co-ordinate the organisation of learning resources, including digital assets ensuring they are catalogued, classifying and re-classification, ensuring other members of the team are aware of the process.
The successful Librarians will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • You will have experience of working within library, education and / or learning resource provision.
  • You will have experience of delivering library management systems and have experience of full life cycle collection development. Both print and online.
  • You will have experience of supporting students with academic skills, citations, referencing and information digital literacy.
  • You will ideally have a relevant degree or post graduate qualification in a relevant field.
