Job Description

Are you good fun to be around, caring and keen to learn new skills I am 25 years old and seeking someone likeminded to physically support me through the day, as I have a muscle condition meaning I need to use a wheelchair.Im looking for a permanent weekend bank hours Personal Care Assistant to join our young and enthusiastic team of 4.The role is preferably for working on Saturdays - but we can agree some flexibility too, like the occasional Sunday instead or working every other Saturday & Sunday. Essentially we can give you a guaranteed minimum of 12 hours weekly, possibly even a fewmore. You will be entitled to pension and holiday pay. If possible we would like some flexibility for you to pick up and cover the occasional shift/s for other PAs holidays too. Your own transport to get here is essential.This role might suit someone who wants to move into care, or work around study - or you may already work in careMy existing PAs describe me as laid back but chatty, friendly and funny. I like to work on my computer, game, enjoy doing art and nice food - particularly Italian cooking.I use a powered wheelchair to get around, breathing machine overnight - and sometimes during the day - and live in a comfortable adapted home with ceiling track hoist and adapted wet room.Full training can be provided to skill you up (paid).A full UK driving license is required to occasionally drive my adapted car. Must not mind cat and dog.Please note: This role is funded from a secure NHS personal health budget and most of my PAs have worked here for a number of years.
