Job Description

Job Description A Primary School in BS36 are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support children with SEND needs. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment as this school pride themselves on being a respected and welcomingschool, supporting pupils and staff personal and professional development.The RoleThis position is to start after February Half Term. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, Term Time only.The Head Teacher is looking for a flexible candidate, someone who can cope in high-pressure environments and can adapt to working with 2 pupils with two different needs.You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
  • Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt activities to meet the needs of individuals.
  • Work 1:1 with children in a 1:1 environment, supporting interventions and core learning.
  • Support assessment and evidencing learning.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Challenge the pupils to achieve their best potential.
