Our responsibilities include: • Plan and deliver major capital projects and lifecycle refurbishment • Provide utilities services • Manage soft facilities management (i.e. cleaning and catering) • Provide a safe place to train • Allocate Service Families Accommodation • Procure and manage routine maintenance and reactive repair • Provide a central register of asset information to advise infrastructure planning • Act as steward of the Defence estate • Provide the unarmed guarding service We employ approximately 4,900 staff from a very diverse range of professions, and we work across the world; in Germany, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands, Norway, Poland, Kenya, Belize, Nepal and Oman. You can view our YouTube video to see more about our workJob descriptionThe ChallengeA key element of this role is communication, to provide the focal point for overseas CAAS quires. These can come from any departments in the MOD or DIO. SFA is a tri service asset and you will be required to deal with enquiries from all the services. A good understanding of accommodation policy and the ability to relay this information in response to RFIs and parliamentary questions will be central to your duties. To develop a full understanding the oversees SFA estate, update and maintain the current data base to reflect the changes in the MODs presence across the world and to assist in the introduction of the new system that will be compatible with the UK SFA data base. You will also be required to assist in drafting updated policy for overseas accommodation, this will be done as part of a review of the Tri-Service Accommodation Regulations. This is an opportunity to shape the UK MOD accommodation policy for the worldwide SFA estate.ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities• Lead on creating and the maintenance of the SFA and SLA data base for overseas accommodation • Provide quality assured data to underpin requests for management Information (MI) and to meet requestors time lines. • Lead on dealing with CAAS queries from in country teams on the MOD Overseas SFA. • Manage assurance of CAAS and 4-Tier Grading (4TG) as applicable, overseas Challenge and Appeals iaw JSP 464 policy. Essential Experience & SkillsExperience - with MOD Information Management Systems (IMS) would be a distinct advantage in this post and is highly desirable. Experience - A working knowledge of the MOD accommodation both SFA and SLA or having work in this or a similar field.
