About DIOThe Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is the estate expert for Defence, supporting the armed forces to enable military capability by planning, building, maintaining, and servicing infrastructure. Our responsibilities include: • Plan and deliver major capital projects and lifecycle refurbishment • Provide utilities services • Manage soft facilities management (i.e. cleaning and catering) • Provide a safe place to train • Allocate Service Families Accommodation • Procure and manage routine maintenance and reactive repair • Provide a central register of asset information to advise infrastructure planning • Act as steward of the Defence estate • Provide the unarmed guarding service We employ approximately 4,900 staff from a very diverse range of professions including head office functions and specialisms such as surveyors, town planners, airfield pavement experts, foresters and construction engineers. Working in the United States Infrastructure Programme (UIP) team provides a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals to work for a mission focused customer. The UIP will give individuals the opportunity to work within a capital works programmes delivering £2Bn of projects within a dynamic working environment, where all parties are focused on achieving the delivery dates to ensure that the US meet their operational commitments. The Business Support manager is required to deliver a range of critical administrative support services with additional roles such as Contracting, Purchasing & Finance (CP&F) Management and Information Management. The Business Support Manager is critical to supporting the inputting of the project information and timely payment of invoices across multiple suppliers and to support the overall programme efficiency with Data Information Management. About our TeamThe UIP is responsible for developing and ensuring the delivery of the sub programmes of work to support the European Deterrent and European Consolidation Initiatives. This is a programme consisting of currently 57 live projects with a further 77 projects in the pipeline which are being developed and will be delivered over the next 6-8 years. The United States Visiting Forces (USVF) programme team are dedicated to the delivery of the service to the US customer.ResponsibilitiesMain ResponsibilitiesFinancial Support;• Liaise with DIO Finance and UIP Project Manager to ensure re-charges are process in a timely and efficient manner to recover monies from the US client. • Assist as required in the management and reconciliation of USF debt • Assist in the management of requisition creations on CP&F and Information Management Systems (IMS). General Administration;• Supervision of the provision of support services to include file management, stationery supplies, postal services and taking and production of minutes as required. • Oversee the collation & provision of data for management returns. • Be the point of contact for DIO Business Continuity to include the collation and production of site Divisional Recovery Plans. • Act as Local Security Officer for all MODNET account requests. • Provide Sub programme meeting support to included collation of data and the production of minutes. Information Management;• Manage the UIP Information Assets as the Information Asset Practitioner (IAOP) • Manage and co-ordinate the UIP’s Common Data Environment and Defence Share Site. • Responsible for Information Management Governance and Strategy. Oversea Security Management• Management and first point of escalation for Base entry and security related issue from DIO contractors and on-site US Client security services. • Provision and guidance on all aspects of security including document management. • Responsible for the management and creation of accounts and associated processes via the DBS Natio
