Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs Do you have experience working with autistic children or young people If so, you might be the ideal candidate for a full-time specialist teacher role at ourinclusive and friendly specialist school in Norfolk.As a specialist teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a small group of autistic pupils in Year 4, who are working to KS1 level. You will plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs and interests of your pupils,and help them achieve their academic and personal goals. You will also work closely with senior leaders, teaching assistants, parents and external agencies to ensure that your pupils receive the best possible support and guidance.We are looking for a specialist teacher who is:- Qualified with QTS or equivalent- Experienced in teaching pupils with autism and/or other SEN- Skilled in using a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater for different learning styles and abilities- Committed to creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment- Able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents- Willing to participate in ongoing professional development and trainingYou will benefit from:- A competitive salary based on your qualifications and experience- A supportive and collaborative team of staff and governors- A well-resourced and modern learning environment- A range of CPD opportunities and career progression pathways- A rewarding and fulfilling role that makes a difference in the lives of young learnersThe start date for this role is flexible, either after the February half term or from April 2024.
