Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic travel consultant, keen for a new challenge in retail travel Do you want to work for a well-respected, established independent retail travel agency! This leading Independent retail travel company is currently seeking an experiencedtravel consultant to join their branch in Wymondham. As an Independent Travel Consultant, you can expect to be dealing with dynamic packaging/tailor-made holidays, along with package holidays.JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Reporting into the Branch Manager, the role of Travel Consultant within the agency involves being part of a busy team dealing with customers face to face on a daily basis planning and selling tailor made holidays to worldwide destinations along with anyother required travel services to suit each clients requirements.
  • Our travel consultants work hard to meet and exceed their targets and take pride in offering excellent customer service to gain recommendations and build on our local client bases.
  • Quoting holidays and converting these to bookings.
  • Working face-to-face and over the phone taking enquires from customers
  • Offering excellent customer service, dealing with complaints in a calm and diplomatic manner.
  • Keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date whilst having in- depth knowledge of the companys brochures and destinations.
  • You can expect to be dealing with dynamic packaging/tailor-made itineraries, along with package holidays.
  • Working towards targets and receiving excellent commission on top!
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Our ideal candidate will be approachable, enthusiastic, and flexible to fit in with the rest of our team, youll also need to have these knowledge and skills:
  • Experience working as a travel agent in a previous role or another travel company
  • A passion for travel and the travel industry
  • Enjoy working to sales and profit targets
  • Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively with clients face to face and over the telephone
  • Have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Be able to remain calm when dealing with any problems or complaints
  • Like working under your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Personal travel experience is an advantage
THE PACKAGEYou will receive a competitive salary depending on experience, along with incentives, travel concessions, educationals and other perks to the best industry; travel!Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm, well also need someone who is flexible to work on a Sundays on a rota if required.PART TIME CONSIDER - MIN 3 DAYS A WEEK
