An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our community inpatient team on Ogden Court Ward . The Team deliver high quality Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy interventions to patients on the ward, in order to provide effective short term reablement/rehabilitation programmes and discharge planning for vulnerable patients with acute health needs. This position would be ideal for a flexible professional looking to work within a ward based setting in an evolving integrated team.The Therapy service on Ogden Court ward operates Monday-Friday between the hours of 9-5. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Assistant Practitioners. The successful candidate will be supported with clinical leadership and development in their role and will gain experience working in a multi-disciplinary team. There will also be a requirement to be involved in the training of fellow team members in the assessment and development of team multi-disciplinary competencies, as well as developing and maintaining their own inter-professional competencies.This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist that wishes to work in a rewarding, fast-paced service, where joint MDT working and decision making is essential in the effective management of this cohort of patients.So if you are interested in joining our team and developing your skills in a new and dynamic environment, whilst working for NCHC which has achieved "outstanding" status by CQC, then please consider applying.
