Job Description

Laboratory Technician

  • Full-time and permanent
  • Location: Norwich area
  • Start ASAP
Reed Scientific is partnering with a well-established organisation specialising in aluminium pre-treatment and powder coating. They are now looking for a laboratory technician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to progress to a managerialrole once the training is completed.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Routine analytical testing (titrations) of chemical pre-treatments
  • Mechanical testing of painted materials
  • Routine testing of samples
  • Leasing with suppliers
  • Ensuring accurate conduct of quality procedures and maintenance
  • Routine testing of equipment and treatment facilities
Required skills, qualities and experience:
  • Chemistry background with experience of working in a laboratory setting
  • Mature with high work ethics
  • Experience in team leadership or interest in progressing to a leadership position
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent attention to details and problem solving skills
  • Candidates with a full driving licence and own vehicle preferred due to the early start and site location
Hours:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 40h per week with occasional paid overtime,
  • Day shifts
