Job Description

We are working with an early stage hi-tech business that is continuing to push the boundaries in greentechnologies. They are growing at an impressive rate and now have an opening for an additional team member to bolster the R&D team. As a key member ofthe R&D team, the Electro-Mechanical Technician will have a keen eye for detail and extensive experience of the electro-mechanical assembly of complex products. Working in a highly professional development team, you will be continually supported to broadenyour skill set.Duties include:

  • To build on current designs and processes to achieve production ready products.
  • Building small batch prototype assemblies, fixtures and tooling.
  • Perform mechanical tear down, route cause investigation and failure analysis
  • Supports design for assembly and design for manufacture activities
  • Review and technically advise engineers on design feasibility
  • Attention to detail whilst performing engineering operations to ensure accuracy and machine efficiency
  • Assembly of components
Knowledge required:
  • Experience in an electro-mechanical assembly environment
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Excellent understanding of tooling and material properties within machining and assembly applications
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing production and engineering processes such as value engineering
  • Technical drawing understanding and review
  • Strong mathematical background
