Job Description

Electrical Field Maintenance Engineer | South Norfolk/Nationwide | Up to £45kJoin a well-established design and manufacturing company in South Norfolk, specializing in fire safety and protective equipment for commercial clients worldwide.We are currently seeking an Electrical Field Maintenance Engineer to work on their prestigious, award-winning products, delivering customized solutions to our valued clients. The role will cover nationwide, but our client is ideally looking for candidates withinan hour and a half of Norfolk.Job Overview:Attend assigned client visits and conduct all necessary system installation and maintenance, as well as fault diagnosis and repair of electrical detection and mechanical systems. After the given project is completed, ensure that system serviceability testsand paperwork are completed.Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • Role is out on the road nationwide

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan maintenance visits efficiently, stock necessary equipment, and coordinate for supplies.
  • Maintain professional customer relationships as a company representative.
  • Perform safe and thorough maintenance work following instructions, labelling removed items.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and promptly, in hard copy or electronically.
  • Report call-outs promptly, manage scheduling conflicts, and stay available during call-out periods.
  • Maintain and report service vehicle condition, perform regular checks.
  • Complete assigned training and maintain necessary competency cards.
  • Safely use workshop equipment, inform others of hazards, and maintain cleanliness.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in water mist fire suppression and detection systems, along with broader fire prevention knowledge.
  • Possess technical expertise relevant to field engineer roles, demonstrated by qualifications or equipment-specific training.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and maintain positive relationships.
  • Hold or be eligible to pass the CSCS Health & Safety Test and possess a relevant competency card.
