Job Description

A leading and highly innovative engineering business near Wymondham are looking hire an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a broad background in electrical design, to work as part of a multi-skilled R&D team, developing new & existing products.Responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out electrical design work in relation to current and new products
  • Support in the development of conceptual designs
  • Design, build and test models & prototypes of new products
  • Write technical documentation and reports
  • Support during Factory Acceptance Testing & Site Acceptance Testing process
    • About you:
  • Practical electrical design experience with either Low Voltage Systems or Control/Distribution Panels
  • Skilled at drawing schematics, layouts, cable schedule documents and single line diagrams in CAD
  • Good knowledge of electrical components and component selection
  • Knowledge of Power Systems, such as transformers, protection studies & power supplies
  • An understanding of Low Voltage design in systems with 240VAC, 400VAC 3 phase and up to 1000VDC.
  • Good assembly, testing and validation skills
