Job Description

A leading electronic design & manufacturing business near Wymondham are looking to hire an experienced Applications Engineer for their small, but busy and growing team.Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will working within the Engineering department, providing support to the businesses worldwide customer base, gaining technical product knowledge on many areas of the businesses product range, as well as working closely on specific R&D projects for new and existing product development processes and testing.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide application & technical support to new & existing customers for all products
  • Identify new applications & product requirements for customers
  • Support wider teams with technical enquiries from customers
  • Be responsible for application notes, technical documentation and data sheets, ensuring these are current and accurate
  • Source & specify test equipment
  • Design and execute testing to gather data for technical support
  • Participate in New Product Development and the design of new/modified parts, alongside their transfer to production
  • Work with research organisations & consortiums to develop materials, processes & product knowledge
  • Collate test data and draft technical reports and presentations for customers
    • In order for your CV to be considered, you will need the following:
  • Degree or qualification in Electronics / Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Technical understanding and knowledge working with electronic components, their characteristics and applications
  • Experience working in an electronic test environment, ideally having developed test programmes
  • Previous experience working on precision electronics, down to component level (such as resistors etc)
  • Confidence working with customers from around the world
  • Ability to interpret technical data and confidently present documentation
