Job Description

ELECTRONICS PRODUCTION OPERATOR & INSPECTORSalary NegotiableCoventry, CV2 5DBExciting opportunity to become part of a well-established electronics manufacturing and assembly business. The business has been operated by the current owners since 1992 and has established relationships with a number of key customers operating in industries such as marine oil & gas, luxury yachts and intelligent washroom systems.We are looking for an Electronics Production Operator & Inspector to join our small team based in Wyken, Coventry.As an Electronics Production Operator & Inspector you will maintain a high level of personal organisation, integrity, reliability and positivity. You will be a strong team player with consistent respect for others, sharing information, knowledge and experience and working hard with team members to meet commitments.Duties:

  • To carry out electronic assembly work, including but not limited to; conventional & SMT PCB loading, pre-forming of components, hand soldering, flow soldering, cable & harness assembly, hardware/special component assembly, final assembly and testing.
  • To inspect assemblies to ensure they are defect-free; for example, that all leads are soldered correctly and that device values are correct.
  • To maintain test & inspection records as required
  • To work to delivery deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards
  • To assist in building and collating manufacturing information in digital format in order to build and maintain up-to-date manufacturing information.
  • To document processes and work methods on a computerised database, checking existing records and updating or creating clear written instructions as appropriate.
  • Other duties as directed
  • Key skills required:
  • A thorough understanding of electronics with demonstrable experience in successfully assembling, diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies
  • A flexible, positive can-do approach to work coupled with the ability to either work autonomously or co-operate as part of a team.
  • Ability to test, diagnose and repair faulty PCBs and undertake repairs based on an understanding of electronic circuits, circuit diagrams, and how different electronic components (for example; resistors, capacitors, Integrated Circuits (ICs) and diodes) work.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams with good IT skills and proficiency in MS office especially Outlook, Excel & Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
