Site ElectricianMy client is one the UK largest supplier of fresh produce, based on a large farm/factory site in Norfolk. Due to continued growth they have a new opportunity for a Site Electrician to join their teamJob Summary/Purpose:To ensure planned and responsive work is carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with latest regulations through the use of specialist skills and knowledge. Safety:Promote and support a safe working environment. Ensure electrical work is completed in compliance within company Health and Safety policies. Escalate any safety issues immediately to Line Manager. Adhere to all health and safety requirements, at all times. Food SafetyAdhere to and ensure all staff adhere to Business Food Safety Standards at all times. Escalate any potential Food Safety issues immediately. Electrical MaintenanceDiagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, single and 3 phase including fault-finding, rewiring, commissioning and monitoring. To carry out special investigations of Site performance including writing reports, as necessary Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards, including fire alarms, lighting, emergency lighting and security systems Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements To be able to work without supervision and make necessary decisions to achieve required outcomes Undertake quality control of electrical works Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements InstallationInstall electrical systems to 17th/18th edition wiring regulations, including installing heating and cooling systems. Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, fire alarms. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, motors and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, orfixtures using hand tools and power tools. Specify and Install new supplies to plant or buildings based on project requirements for any new projects across site. Look after electrical spares onsite, assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts. Skills and QualificationsPrevious Electrical Experience including Lighting, Wiring, Alarm Systems and Fire Prevention Systems Strong Written and Verbal Communication Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391) Previous experience within a food production industry would be beneficialThe role will be contracted to 5 days out of 7, 48 hours per week.A shift pattern of Monday to Friday for week 1 and then Tuesday to Saturday for week 2 and then revert to week 1 again. There could be a requirement in the future to work on a Sunday due to customer demand, however this would be rare and plenty of notice wouldbe provided.
