Job Description

Were actively seeking a skilledBoat Builder to become an integral part of our busy team in Wroxham. As a Boat Builder, your diverse range of responsibilities will involve fitting ply bulkheads and conducting epoxy lay-up of sub-assemblies. Youll also be tasked with the important work of fairing and finishing final composite modules, crafting and installingcabin sole bearers, and cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply.Additionally, youll create and fit various boat furniture, install fiberglass components, and construct and install sole boards.Basic upholstery tasks, such as work on overhead panels, will also be within your purview, along with the crafting and hanging of cabin doors.This role encompasses levelling boats, handling skin fitting installation, deck gear installation, and teak deck installation.Youll also be responsible for the installation of windows, portlights, and hatches, adding a dynamic and hands-on dimension to this role.Hours of Work: Flexi time available (40 hours from Monday-Friday)Boat Builder Requirements:

  • Robust boatbuilding construction knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with raw materials and tools to a good standard
  • Previous experience in the marine industry working with timber/GRP boats.
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Comfortable working at pace with high volume of work
  • Team player
Boat Builder Benefits:
