Job Description

Multiskilled Shift Engineer, Circa £42,000 per annum4on/4offDay/Night rotating shifts.We are currently assisting our client with the recruitment of a shift maintenance engineer to join their experienced engineering departmentYou will be responsible for minimising operational downtime and maximising operational efficiencies through ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the plant and machinery. Working within the engineering team, you will be responding to production breakdownsand delivering planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of highly automated machinery and fault finding on PLC systems, complete electrical installation and carry out project work. As a Multiskilled Shift Engineer you will be:

• To carry out PPM inspections and maintenance, and to carry out corrective maintenance repairs on a timely basis.
• To be able to quickly assess the nature of a breakdown and act accordingly
• To carry out small projects, and modifications as required within any projects
• To be confident to share proposals for improvements across the site
• To develop, create and implement maintenance SOPs
• To carry out general maintenance as required which can include lubrication tasks / schedules.

As the Multiskilled Shift Engineer you will have:

• Previous experience within a similar role
• NVQ level 3
• City and Guilds, Electrical / Mechanical
• 17th or 18th Edition
• Competency in PLCs
• Good General Workshop Skills (essential)
